Pediatric Dentistry

A growing smile deserves a good start and kids deserve special their own unique and fun type of dental care. After all, the more you can get kids excited about their smiles, the more likely they’ll be to take those early oral hygiene lessons into adulthood—when good smile impressions matter most.

At our facility, we work hard to serve all members of the family, but we know pediatric dentistry carries its own set of demands and techniques.  Besides doing our part to carefully assess children’s smiles and cater to the specific oral health needs of kids, which includes sealants, cavity care, orthodontic evaluations and more, we want to help you show your child that the dentist’s office can be a fun, comfortable and educational place.  We work hard to stress the importance of good oral hygiene at home and help get kids excited about the things they can do to maintain strong, healthy and beautiful teeth as they grow.

If you’re searching for a reliable and kid-friendly pediatric dentistry that’s both serious about smile care and welcoming to kids, make an appointment at our new practice location in New Hyde Park.  Together, we can ensure your child’s smile gets the best possible start.

Dental Implants

If you’re considering dental implants for your smile restoration, you’re making a smart choice. As a tooth prosthetic, dental implants provide a unique set of benefits over other smile restoratives.  While bridges, partial and full dentures are all reliable options for smile restoration, dental implants deliver a real look, feel and longevity that remain unrivaled.

If you’re weighing the advantages of dental implants over other tooth prosthetics, consider the following:

  • If you are an adult, your age alone won’t restrict you from dental implants.  From teens to seniors, dental implants have been successfully used to replace a missing tooth or teeth.

  • They can be used in both your top and bottom jaw, at multiple sites and can even be used to restore your entire smile.

  • Other healthy teeth do not need to be modified or disturbed for your implant placement.  There’s no need for wires, external framework, adhesives or support that affect neighboring tooth.

  • Dental implants look and feel totally natural.  They will not affect your speech, eating and appearance.

  • With proper care, dental implants can last a lifetime and do not require replacement or adjustment.

  • Dental implants require no additional maintenance beyond brushing, flossing and regular periodontal care.

  • Because of their placement that’s similar to the natural root of the tooth, dental implants reducing bone loss and prevent atrophy of the jawbone.

While these advantages sound ideal for just about anyone in need of a tooth prosthetic, the very best way to determine if dental implants will be the most successful option for your smile restoration is to arrange a consultation with us at our New Hyde Park dental facility.
